Wine glass with non-alcoholic sangria, garnished with cinnamon stick, lime and orange slices.

Sober Sangria

Homemade Sangria with fresh fruit feels so fancy and luxurious. To kick it up for the winter holidays, this recipe kicks it up a notch with cinnamon, plum, and blackberry shrub.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle of dealcoholized red wine (we used Ariel Cabernet Sauvignon)
  • 2 small cinnamon sticks
  • 1 orange
  • 1 plum
  • 1 lime

Step 1:

Slice the lime into wheels, the orange into half-wheels, and the plum into chunks. Add the fresh fruit and cinnamon sticks to a large pitcher.

Step 2:

Top with a bottle of dealcoholized red wine. Let flavors mingle in the fridge for 30-1 hour before serving.

Step 3:

Pour the sangria into a wine glass filled with ice. Allow some pieces of fruit to fall into the glass, or use a slotted spoon to add to your liking.

(Note: We added about a 1/2 tablespoon of Blackberry shrub to our glasses for an even more robust and rich flavor.)
